Tawm: the Angry Apple

TAWM is a role playing game about apple-men making the final pilgrimage. You are delivering the ark of you ancestors to the holy mountain monastery. Your land has withered, your tribe has dwindled, & your final apple tree has died.

You will make the journey through lands of desert, muck, mountains & more. This & varying societies: villages, crypts, cities, churches, camps. You are free to do what you wish in these lands. You can travel at your own pace, either passing through or immersing in each location. 

Either way you will manage your caravan. Acquiring soldiers & other accompanying members, paying them, feeding them, arming them, entertaining them, working them, & more.

There are multiple routes through each level & other progressions which break linearity. Exact dates (days, weeks, months, years) are kept track of. Economies are calculated. Locations evolve.

Throughout the game, the style of visuals, audio, writing, & gameplay morph alongside the progression of location & theme. Things are to become more abstract & experimental, abrasive. 

2/18/2024: DEMO BUILD

The demo features the tutorial level, the desert. It is the home of the apples. You have the chance to explore & familiarize yourself with the various features of the game. About one hour to an hour & a half in playtime
